Derry’s Carnivale of Colours is back this weekend and it’s going to be bigger, better and more colourful than ever before!
The festival takes over St Columb’s Park tomorrow, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. Organisers promise it will be jam-packed with top treats, featuring the very best of International Street Theatre and local acts interspersed with an eclectic mix of side shows and attractions to guarantee a full quota of belly laughs and a truly magical experience for folk of all ages.
The park will be transformed into a playground for all the family. Two Big Tops will be bursting at the seams with fun, while mysterious secrets of giant proportions will be hiding in the trees throughout the park.
The hilarious Granny Turismo will be back causing mayhem and will be joined by some of the world’s most exciting International performers including Jonathan Burns, Ridiculusmus, The Serious Road Trip and Tumble Circus.
The main shows will be supported by young performers from the North West Circus School, local stilt walkers, live music, storytelling, drumming and art workshops, balloon modelling and face painting as well as an array of international foods to tempt the grumbliest bellies!
The annual Gypsy Ball takes place tomorrow night too - so there’s serious fun at St Columb’s Park this weekend!
