Daniel Craig '˜offered $150m to return as James Bond'

Daniel Craig is rumoured to have been offered $150m by Sony to play James Bond at least two more times.

It’s a baffling story to say the least, given the fact the 48 year-old British actor once said he would “rather slash my wrists” than play James Bond again. Craig did however say he reserved the right to change his mind.

The most recent Bond movie, ‘Spectre’, was released in October last year and was interpreted by film critics and movie goers alike as Craig’s farewell to 007. It is believed Craig earned $65m for ‘Spectre’.

Idris Elba (‘The Wire’ and ‘Thor’) and Tom Hiddleston (‘The Avengers’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’) are hot favourites to replace Craig should he turn down Sony’s offer.

A spokesperson for Sony said the company had no comment.
