Hollyoaks actor takes centre stage in Dracula

A brand new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic masterpiece on vampirism, sees former ‘Hollyoaks’ star, Gerard McCarthy, play both Jonathan Harker, whose diaries chronicle the bloody tale, and the greatest supernatural character of all time: Dracula. Adapted and directed for the stage by Michael Poynor, it arrives at the Millennium Forum for two performances on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th October.

Joining Gerard onstage via pre-recorded video performances are soap star, Kym Marsh, West End star, Rachel Tucker and film star, Jayne Wisener, as three of the Count’s infamous ‘brides’.

Kym’s screen credits include Michelle Connor in CORONATION STREET (ITV) as well as HOLLYOAKS: IN THE CITY (E4); Myrna Morrison in HOLBY CITY and Ruth Parry in DOCTORS. For her role in CORONATION STREET, Marsh has won a British Soap Award, a TRIC Award and a National Television Award. On stage she played Annette in the West End production of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and recently performed in Eve Ensler’s THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES (Gaiety Theatre, Isle of Man).
