Strabane-born singer Curtis Magee will launch his new CD Titanic at this year’s Aul Lammas Fair in Ballycastle.
Curtis says: ”This will be my 20th year at the fair and every year I try and have something new for my fans. They continue to come and support me every year and it’s nice to see and meet the people who enjoy my music so much.”
“It’s hard to be believe this is my 20th consecutive year at the business. When I started out it was a great way to showcase my music and recordings to such a vast number of people and here we are 20 years later with 27 different CD’s still entertaining and recording.”
The new CD features the song Titanic which was written especially for Curtis by songwriter Gerald Doran from the band Country Harmony.
“I always had a great fascination with everything about the Titanic and as this was the 100th anniversary I felt it appropriate to have a song recorded in memory of all those people who lost their lives,” Curtis said.
The song, one of many great tracks on the new album, has already received airplay all over the world.
