The Plantin’s ‘Blaze’ EP is launched tonight in The Playhouse
The Plantin, a six piece rock and pop band, launch their debut EP ‘Blaze’ tonight in the Playhouse.
Having previously headlined ‘Rock and Soul’ at the Millennium Forum and rocked last summer’s Stendhal Festival, the relative newcomers spent the summer with Neal Calderwood at Manor Park Studios recording some of their finest songs.
‘Blaze’ is described as “a soulful blend of pop and rock with fresh lyrics and vocals that will inspire a generation.”
Band members are both with and without learning difficulties and aim to constantly challenge stereotypes.
In 2012, the Derry band wowed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent.
Tomorrow night, they will be joined at the Playhouse by Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas and Lady J - Jeanette Hutton.
The gig kicks off at 8pm, tickets are priced £7 and are available at the Playtrail or at the door.
You can get a copy of ‘Blaze’ at Cool Discs on Foyle Street or at the Tuned In Project at Springtown Industrial Estate.
You can get more info on the band via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning 71 367029
All proceeds form tonight’s show are in aid of Foyleview School and the Playtrail.
