Puffin Rock lauded by NYT as show has US début

Derry cartoon Puffin Rock has been given the thumbs up in New York Times review.

The cartoon produced by Derry based company Dog Ears first aired on RTE earlier this year and has now had it’s US début on Netflix.

“It’s a deceptively gentle, quiet, small-scale affair with a sharp, winking sense of humor and a simple but distinctive look,” the New York Times review states.

A total of 39 episodes, each lasting seven minutes, have been produced, with the majority of the characters voiced by Derry and Donegal people.
