Santa's Elves have presents for everyone at Guildhall this weekend!

Elves have presents for all at the Guildhall!

Feeling that it’s important every year that children get loads of great presents, Derry’s Playhouse and Derry City and Strabane District Council have joined forces to ensure an amazing gift for free for all the children.

Both organisations have worked for weeks behind the scenes and have conviced two of Santa’s favourite elves, Elfie and Elfa, to come along to The Guildhall and bring with them a magical portal.

This portal, in the heart of the city centre, will transform part of The Guildhall into the North Pole’s famous Elfwood forest and insiders at Derry’s Playhouse said this week:

“A jolly man dressed in red might just be making a surprise appearance there too.

“Well, that is if the two elves can get it right, because although Elfie is one of Santa’s most trusted elves, her best friend Elfie is a wee bit naughty and prone to getting things a little bit wrong and landing the pair of them into a lot of trouble.”

This is a free advent full of fun which will be running for four days over the Christmas holidays and is perfect for kids of all ages.

There will be giggles, surprises, games and also the heartwarming story of Gavin the Red Nosed Gerbil.

The show runs on Friday December 9 and Saturday December 10 as well as Friday December 16 and Saturday, 17 On On Fridays shows will run from 10am – 2pm and from 4pm – 8pm and on Saturdays families can visit Elfwood forest from 12pm – 5pm.

Organisers are inviting everyone to come along and join Elfie and Elfa on their magical tour of Elfwood forest and enjoy a real Christmas treat.

Admission to all of the above events is free and further information can be obtained by telephoning the Playhouse on 02871 268027.
