Gig promoters and bookers are getting younger and younger. This is something that both Belfast and Derry are championing with the joining of two projects,

Set the Stage, a Nerve Centre-based programme in Derry, are joining with Volume Control from Belfast’s Oh Yeah Centre to make two special gigs in both cities.

A crack team of young bookers have been working together since the end of January to put on the shows. Seven people from Derry and nine people from Belfast organised the events consisting of headline sets from “Abandcalledboy” and “The Wood Burning Savages”.

Supporting both bands are a huge host of up-and-coming bands from Derry and Belfast including Lost Avenue, Shoot the Messenger, Serotonin, R51, Hurdles and Riot Upstairs. Also joining the bands for an acoustic set are Jason Flynn, Rebecca Mulhern and Cahal.

The gigs are on Friday, April 10 at Oh Yeah Centre, Belfast with “Abandcalledboy” and support, and Saturday, April 11 in the Nerve Centre with “The Wood Burning Savages” and support.

The gigs are sure to be nights to remember with fantastic music and a great atmosphere.

Tickets are £5 and are available from the door on the night.
