The man behind one of Northern Ireland’s most popular YouTube characters is bringing his brand of near the knuckle wit to Derry’s Oktoberfest as Mason’s Comedy Club shifts venue for one night only.
The night of laughs and beer marks comedian Colin Geddis’ first visit to Derry this year.
Colin is the man behind YouTube favourites GEDZILLA films. Geddis has a comedy and sketch channel which has reached almost 8,000,000 YouTube hits.
He has given the world characters such as ‘I am Fighter’s’ Barry the Blender Henderson, The Scene with Besty McD, filth magnet Gary Henderson and loads more.
This year will also see him bust the baps of BBC2 with a new sketch show “Late Licence.” His stand up career has been going from strength to strength and his headline show at Masons Comedy Club in 2014 was one of the year’s comedy highlights.

And for an extra helping of laughs, Mason’s Comedy Club have also enlisted Edinburgh Fringe legend Bob Slayer as the Oktoberfest MC.

He’s been twice nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and been described as “one of the genuine alternative comedians” by The Guardian.
He has helped revolutionise how to do the Edinburgh fringe with his ‘Heroes of the Fringe Comedy Collective’ which promotes pop-up venues at Edinburgh Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival and around the UK and in 2015 brought his very own bus venue ‘Bob’s Blundabus’ to the festival. He’s won numerous accolades and is a Barry Award Winner 2014 and Leicester Comedy Festival Liberty Award 2014 and is a mainstay at many rock festivals all over the world. Admission is but a mere £5 and entry comes complete with a free shot, drink promotions and live music follows in the downstairs bar. Get your laughing gear around that!
