Adrian Harkin of Inish Adventures told the Journal the water park has been two years in planning and told how they are amazed and delighted at the reaction so far.

It will open this Monday, adhering to strict Covid 19 restrictions. While it can hold up to 115 people, for now they are limited to 30.

“We’ve been planning this for a long while and it’s phase two of our plans. Phase three will hopefully be a glass conference room at the centre, to hopefully be used a restaurant in the future. The response to the water park has been massive already. It has been quite surprising, but great at the same time.”

Adrian pointed out how the structure is based on ‘clear, silk water’ that can ‘get a wee bit of a chop,’ that will all add to the experience.

The water park is the latest in a host of activities offered, including gorge walking, sailing, whitewater rafting, archery and orienteering.

Anyone who enters the water park during current restrictions will be asked to sanitise their hands and their temperature will also be taken. All social distancing and restriction guidelines will be adhered to.
