Tourism Northern Ireland is providing £110,000 to Clipper

Tourism Minister Gordon Lyons has confirmed his department is providing £110,000 towards the Clipper festival in Derry this year.

“Tourism NI is providing £110,000 funding support to Foyle Maritime Festival 2022 under the International Tourism Events Funding Programme.

“The Festival includes the arrival and stopover of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

“Marketing and promotional support is also being provided by Tourism NI,” he said.

He was asked about funding by Sinn Féin MLA Pádraig Delargy.

The Foyle Maritime Festival will see the Clipper race return to the city over four days between July 20 and July 24.
