Work on The Cashel may start in 2022 as Braidwater lodges landmark application for huge new housing development and suburb
Vincent Bradley, development director of The Braidwater Group, said he submission of an application for phase 1 of The Cashel on the H2 lands between Ballymagroarty and Coshquin is a significant step forward.
The construction firm has submitted an application for phase 1 of the development. If successful this will result in the development of up to 800 social, affordable and private homes as well as a High Street that will include shops, a cafe/restaurant, office units, live/work units, a gym and community centre.

Hide AdPedestrian and cycle ways, public squares, open spaces, and children’s play areas are also proposed.
Mr. Bradley said: “We are delighted to submit the reserved matters application for phase 1 of The Cashel.
“This 800 home project represents one of the most significant investments in the north-west in recent years with an initial investment of over £100m to deliver much needed social, private and affordable homes.”
The Braidwater director said the development of the new neighbourhood will create hundreds of jobs.
