Work progressing on new Da Vinci’s orangery as part of £2.5m hotel and bar investment in Derry

Work is progressing on a major new refurbishment at Da Vinci’s Hotel and Bar that will see a new orangery developed as part of a £2.5m investment by the hospitality complex’s owners.

Construction of a new conservatory extending eastward from the pub towards the Da Vinci’s car park has started with scaffolding erected at the Culmore Road premises.

This is part of a wider £2.5m upgrade that got underway last November.

This included 38 guest rooms being fully redesigned to meet 4 star standards.

The hotel will remain operational for the duration of the development works that are expected to be competed in the Autumn.

Announcing the plans last year Cecil Doherty, Managing Director, said: “This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter - not only for the hotel, but for our growing presence in Northwest hospitality sector.

"Our goal is to restore Da Vinci’s to its former grandeur, while creating something truly special for both Derry and our international guests.”
