As always, the students and staff were involved in a great many activities throughout the year, whether excelling at exams, attending formals, winning prizes inside and outside the school, or raising funds for good causes.

Thornhill college Gaelic team, winners for the tenth time in eleven years of the under 19 Schools County title, beating St.Pius X College, Magherafelt, in the final at Owenbeg. Included are their coaches Brendan Hughes and Fearghal Mag Uiginn. (0812T02).

Niamh Bradley from Thornhill College presents her father Paul with a cheque for £1000, money raised by pupils who took part in a sponsored marathon walk to support Paul who ran the London Marathon for the Foyle Hospice.

Cumann Gaelach Chnoc na Ros, in conjunction with Derry City Council, present bursaries to pupils and adults who will be participating in Irish courses in Donegal this summer. Included are Risteard Mac Gabhann, Uachtaran Oireachtas na Gaelige, Councillor Gearard Diver, and Clar Ni Chnaimhsi, Gaelic officer.
