Seventy-five people were being treated in Western Trust hospitals as coronavirus patients at midnight on Monday.

One more person aged between 40 and 59 was admitted to Altnagelvin Hospital on Monday after testing positive for COVID-19.

Eight of eleven (72.73%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; two (18.18%) were occupied by patients with other conditions; and one (9.09%) was free.

Six ICU patients in total were being ventilated - four were COVID-19 patients and two were non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 20.81 per cent of beds at Altnagelvin were 'COVID-19 occupied', 71.14 per cent were 'other occupied' while there was 0.67 per cent of capacity still available in the system; 7.38 per cent were 'awaiting admission' according to the latest data.

Worryingly the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen is now 9.64 per cent over capacity.
