8.13% capacity left at Altnagelvin with COVID-19 occupancy at just 2.71% - no change from Monday

There were no new COVID-19 admissions to Altnagelvin on Monday although updated figures show that a man aged between 20 and 39, as well as a girl aged under 20, was also admitted to the Derry hospital on Sunday.

At midnight on Monday 16 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

One of 11 (9.09%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; seven (63.64%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and three (27.27%) were free.

Three ICU patients in total were being ventilated - one was a COVID-19 patient and two were non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 2.71% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 84.34% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital had 8.13% capacity left in the system; 4.82% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
