Altnagelvin 3.80 per cent over capacity but no new COVID-19 admissions or deaths

At midnight on Monday 35 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Seven of 10 (70%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; three (30%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and none were free.

Six ICU patients in total were being ventilated - all were COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 7.59% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 85.76% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital was 3.80% over capacity: 6.65% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
