The A&E departments in Derry and Enniskillen are currently coping with a very high number of attendances.

"Our Emergency Departments at both Altnagelvin Hospital and the South West Acute Hospital are very busy today," said the Western Trust.

"Please only attend the Emergency Department if you require urgent medical or mental health assistance. Please consider alternative healthcare options available to you at this time, such as the Urgent Care and Treatment Centre in Omagh or GP out-of-hours," it added.

Patients have been reminded only to attend A&E alone. Children and vulnerable adults can be accompanied by one person.

Face masks must be worn at all times, patients must practice social distancing and good hand and respiratory hygiene and staff should be respected.
