Altnagelvin operating at 0.31 per cent over capacity with two new admissions yesterday

A man in his 60s and a woman aged over 80 were admitted with SARS-CoV-2 on Thursday. they were the first admissions since Monday.
At midnight on Thursday 24 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Hide AdFive of 10 (50%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; two (20%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and three (30%) were free.
Six ICU patients in total were being ventilated - four were COVID-19 patients and two were non-COVID-19 patients.
In terms of general occupancy 3.36% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 88.38% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital was operating at 0.31 over capacity; 8.26% were ‘awaiting admission.’
There have been no further deaths.
