Altnagelvin operating at 0.95% over capacity with three COVID-19 admissions this week

A man aged in his 70s was admitted on St. Patrick's Day. Two men in their 80s were admitted on Tuesday.
At midnight on Wednesday 38 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Hide AdFive of 12 (41.67%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; two (16.67%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and five (41.67%) were free.
Six ICU patients in total were being ventilated - five were COVID-19 patients and one was a non-COVID-19 patient.
In terms of general occupancy 8.83% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 85.80% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital was 0.95% over capacity: 5.36% were ‘awaiting admission.’
There have been no further deaths.
