NI records second Coronavirus COVID-19 death - 20 new cases identified in last 24 hours

A second person has died in Northern Ireland after testing positive for COVID-19, the Department of Health has confirmed.

The deceased was described by Health Minister, Robin Swann as elderly and having an underlying health condition.

As of 2pm on Sunday March 22, testing has resulted in 20 new positive cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Northern Ireland to 128.

The total number of tests completed in Northern Ireland is 2,484.

People with mild symptoms - new persistent cough and/or fever - should stay at home and self-isolate.

They will not require testing and will not therefore be included in testing totals.
