Volunteer Bikers Group set up to deliver prescriptions

The Volunteer Bikers Group is covering the whole of the North.

It has a network of local volunteers who have large carriage capacity on their bikes to make the deliveries.

All of the volunteers have registered with the NHS Covid-19 site and there is no charge for the service.

It is available to anyone who is self-isolating, vulnerable people or those in need.

The volunteers can provide assistance with the delivery of medication or prescriptions to people and public protection equipment to hospitals.

A number of Derry volunteers have signed up to make essential deliveries in the local area.
