COVID-19 rate in Derry/Strabane static as Causeway Coast and Glens surges to highest in the north

The seven-day case rate of COVID-19 per 100,000 people in Derry and Strabane remained more or less static between Tuesday and Wednesday as the Causeway Coast and Glens rate surged above Derry and Mid Ulster to become the highest in the north.

Between November 4 and November 10, 371 people tested positive in the Derry and Strabane area giving a case rate per 100,000 of 246.2.

Those figures were down from 374 people and a rate of 248.2 yesterday.

Derry and Strabane now has the third highest rate by district after Causeway Coast and Glens ( 318.2) and Mid Ulster (269.1).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 9 and November 10 was 61.

In total 6,087 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
