Decline in COVID-19 rate in Derry and Strabane resumes after stalling last week

The decline in the seven-day case rate of COVID-19 per 100,000 people in Derry and Strabane continued over the weekend after stalling during the middle of last week.

Between November 2 and November 8, 392 people tested positive in the Derry and Strabane area giving a case rate per 100,000 of 260.2.

That's down on an equivalent figure of 301.3 on Friday.

Derry and Strabane still has the second highest prevalence rate in the north after Mid Ulster where the seven day SARS-CoV-2 case rate is 283.4.

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 7 and November 8 was 31

In total 5963 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
