Derry actress and musician Bronagh Gallagher salutes Western Trust health workers

The Creggan-native, who has appeared in The Commitments, Pulp Fiction, Star Wars and Sherlock Holmes and released several acclaimed albums, wished front line workers and behind-the-scenes staff across the local health service a peaceful Christmas.

"I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Western Trust staff, the frontline workers, and the workers behind the scenes. for the incredible dedication and work that you have shown this year, in no doubt one of the toughest years that you have known.

"Your incredible application to your work, vocational almost, has not gone unrecognised in people like myself that stand and just wonder at the work that you actually do. From me to you I wish you all of the very best, for the happiest, most peaceful, restful Christmas," she said.
