Derry COVID-19 rate falls to 77.7 and is at lowest level since September 19

The seven-day coronavirus rate in Derry and Strabane has fallen back to 77.7 per 100,000 - its lowest point since September 19 when it was 76.3.

Between February 9 and February 15, there were 117 confirmed positive cases of the virus in the district giving a seven day rate per 100,000 of 77.7, down from 81 yesterday.

Derry/Strabane is now recording the fifth lowest coronavirus rate in the north. The lowest rates are in Fermanagh and Omagh (41.1), Ards and North Down (54.1), Causeway Coast and Glens (74.2) and Mid and East Antrim (77.2).

Newry and North Down has the same rate as Derry/Strabane.

Rates remain higher in Mid Ulster (208.8.1), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (194.7), Belfast (114.3) and Antrim and Newtownabbey (100.2).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between February 14 and February 15 was 13.

In total 10,975 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
