Derry COVID-19 rate is 81 per 100,000 and sixth lowest in the north

The seven-day coronavirus rate in Derry and Strabane has fallen back to 81 per 100,000 and is now the sixth lowest in the north.

Between February 8 and February 14, there were 122 confirmed positive cases of the virus in the district giving a seven day rate per 100,000 of 81, no change from Sunday but down on 86.9 on Saturday and 92.9 on Friday.

Derry/Strabane is now recording the sixth lowest coronavirus rate in the north. The lowest rates are in Fermanagh and Omagh (43.7), Ards and North Down (67.8), Causeway Coast and Glens (72.8), Lisburn and Castlereagh (76.5) and Mid and East Antrim (77.2).

Rates remain higher in Mid Ulster (210.1), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (189.5), Belfast (108.7), Antrim and Newtownabbey (102.3) and Newry, Mourne and Down (89.9).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between February 13 and February 14 was 18.

In total 10,962 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
