Derry/Strabane COVID-19 case rate has not moved in two days and is at lowest level in two months

The seven-day COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 in Derry and Strabane has not moved in two days and is at roughly the same level it was at two months ago, according to the latest data from the Department of Health.

Between November 19 and November 25, there were 282 positive coronavirus cases in Derry and Strabane giving a seven day rate of 187.2, down from 187.8 on Wednesday.

Mid Ulster continues to post the highest seven day case rate in the north at 201.3.

Derry/Strabane has the second highest prevalence rate which is well above the northern average.

The average rate in the six counties is 129.6 per 100,000 with several districts recording figures lower than 100: Lisburn and Castlereagh (97.8); Newry, Mourne and Down (93.2); Antrim and Newtonabbey (84.8); and Ards and North Down (83.3).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 24 and November 25 was 51.

In total 6,741 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
