Derry/Strabane COVID-19 prevalence rate continues to fall
The prevalence rate of the illness has now fallen for ten successive days, according to the latest data released by the Department of Health.
Between January 6 and January 12, there were 477 confirmed positive cases of the virus in the district giving a seven day rate per 100,000 of 316.6, down from 362.4 on Tuesday.
It is still higher than it was just before Christmas.

Hide AdThe average prevalence rate for the north over the same seven days was 442.4 per 100,000 - also a decrease.
Rates continue to be higher in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (649.6), Mid Ulster (637.9), Newry, Mourne and Down (587.2), Antrim and Newtownabbey (440.9), Fermanagh and Omagh (414.3),Mid and East Antrim (394.7), Belfast (365.7), Causeway Coast and Glens (320.3).

Hide AdThe daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between January 11 and 12 was 52.
In total 10,172 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
