Derry/Strabane COVID-19 rate remains below the average for the north

The seven-day COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 in Derry and Strabane rose again on Monday but is still just below the average for the north.

Over the weekend the prevalence rate fell below 200 for the first time since September 25 but it was up again marginally to 202.4 for the seven day period November 9 to November 15. This remains below the average rate for the north which is 203.6.

Five other district areas are now recording higher rates than Derry and Strabane.

These are Causeway Coast and Glens (312.6), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (254.6), Mid Ulster (216.9), Fermanagh and Omagh (211.4) and Belfast (204).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 14 and November 15 was 30.

In total 6,275 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
