Derry/Strabane COVID-19 rate rises again and is now above the average for the north

The seven-day COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 in Derry and Strabane rose again marginally on Tuesday and is now above the average for the north.

Between November 10 and November 16 there were 306 positive coronavirus cases in Derry and Strabane giving a seven day rate of 203.1.

This is now above the average rate for the north which is 197.9.

Four other district areas are recording higher rates than Derry and Strabane.

These are Causeway Coast and Glens (300.8), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (254.1), Mid Ulster (215.6) and Fermanagh and Omagh (206.3).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 15 and November 16 was 61.

In total 6,336 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
