Derry/Strabane COVID-19 rate rises again, is highest in the north, and is as high as it was three weeks ago

The seven-day COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 in Derry and Strabane has risen to over 200 again, remains the highest in the north, and is now as high as it was three weeks ago.

Between November 24 and November 30, there were 310 positive coronavirus cases in Derry and Strabane giving a seven day case rate of 205.7, up from 197.8 on Monday.

The Derry/Strabane case rate is the only rate above 200 per 100,000 out of all the districts in the north.

It is higher than it was on Friday, November 13 (201.8).

The average rate for the north is now 134.1.

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 29 and November 30 was 57.

In total 6,961 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
