Derry/Strabane reaches 6,000 COVID-19 cases as rate falls to lowest level since September

The decline in the seven-day case rate of COVID-19 per 100,000 people in Derry and Strabane is continuing to decline and has fallen to its lowest level since September.

Between November 3 and November 9, 374 people tested positive in the Derry and Strabane area giving a case rate per 100,000 of 248.2.

It's the first time since late September that the rate has fallen below the 250 per 100,000 milestone.

Derry and Strabane has the second highest rate by district after Mid Ulster where it is 260.3.

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between November 8 and November 9 was 63.

In total 6,026 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
