The total number of COVID-19 cases in Northern Ireland is now 12.

Contact tracing from these five cases is being conducted by Public Health Agency staff.

A more detailed update will be provided on the situation later this morning, when the contact tracing work is at a more advanced stage.

The increase in Northern Ireland came soon after a third person, a man in his sixties with underlying health issues, became the third person to die from COVID-19 in the U.K.
