Last coronavirus patients discharged from intensive care at Altnagelvin in Derry

The last coronavirus patients have been released from intensive care at Altnagelvin, it's been confirmed.

Staff at Altnagelvin following the discharge of the last COVID-19 patients.

The Western Trust announced the important milestone on Thursday afternoon.

"Well done to our fantastic team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Altnagelvin Hospital on discharging the last of all COVID-19 patients; all of whom are now 100 per cent recovered," read a tweet from the Western Trust's official account.
