Man, aged 60-79, dies after testing positive with COVID-19 bringing Derry/Strabane death toll to 46
Twenty-five people have now died following positive COVID-19 tests in Derry and Strabane since September. That's more than the 21 people who lost their lives during the first wave of the illness.
Eighty-one people were being treated in Western Trust hospitals as coronavirus inpatients at midnight on Thursday, according to the latest data published by the Department of Health.

Hide AdEight out of ten (80%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were occupied by COVID-19 patients and four of these patients were being ventilated, according to the daily dashboard published by DoH on Friday. Two ICU beds (20%) remained free.
In terms of general occupancy 20.78 per cent of beds at Altnagelvin were 'COVID-19 occupied', 69.16 per cent were 'other occupied' while there was 9.42 per cent of capacity still available in the system. A figure of 0.6 per cent 'awaiting admission' was listed on Friday.
