No new Altnagelvin COVID-19 admissions; two COVID-19 patients in ICU

At midnight on Tuesday 18 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.
Midnight occupancy remains at its lowest level since the start of last October.

Hide AdJust two of 10 (20%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; two (20%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and six (60%) were free.
Two ICU patients in total were being ventilated - one was a COVID-19 patient and one was a non-COVID-19 patient.
In terms of general occupancy 2.09% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 88.96% were ‘other occupied’ and there was 0.60 capacity left in the hospital system; 8.36% were ‘awaiting admission.’
There have been no further deaths.
