One new COVID-19 admission to Altnagelvin with Derry hospital 1.25% over capacity

A man aged in his sixties was taken into the hospital on Friday.

At midnight on Sunday 32 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Seven of 10 (70%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; one (10%) was occupied by a patient with another condition and two (20% were free.

Four ICU patients in total were being ventilated - all were COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 6.56% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 89.69% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital had 1.25 capacity left in the system; 3.75% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
