There is enough doom and gloom around at the minute and while I do not agree with lockdowns I’m consciously doing my best to stay focused.

And so I want to share some tips this week with you so that you can do the same.

Monitor your input Daily: What you feed your mind daily effects not only your outlook, sense of hope or future, it impacts your health psychologically and physiologically.

Switch off, turn off and don’t get indulged in anything that doesn’t help you think and feel more empowered. Read more empowering books, take in more positive information, listen to podcasts that will inspire you. I’ll plug my own here while I am at it, the Mindset Junkie podcast where I speak with guests from all over the world who share their inspiring lives and insights.

What we allow into our minds through constant repetition effects our behaviours and results, so monitor wisely.

Move daily: Yes, we might be in lockdown, but that doesn’t mean you can’t exercise, move, walk, run or get out into nature and breath some beautiful fresh air.

Get into nature daily, even better get your shoes off and go barefoot daily, spend time in nature and you’ll feel the calming benefits of it.

Nature’s natural vibration is good for the soul. Do it daily, switch off the news, turn off your phone and clear your mind.

Meditate: Practicing a simple 5-10 minutes of meditation daily can have a profound effect on how we deal with life and everything in it.

Meditation has the ability to slow down our analytical overthinking mind, it can help us create balance in how we are thinking and feeling.

With consistency we can create balance in our emotions and how we interact and respond to everything that’s going on around us. This is paramount right now during more lockdowns. Take back control of your mind and guard it daily.

Study- learning, educating yourself: With possibly more time on your hands right now, you have a choice of what you do with that time. You can sit around and wish for it all to change or you can be proactively creating that change for yourself.

What books are you reading right now that could inspire you, teach you a new skill set that could create a new source of income or help you create a new business, career, or climb up the ladder in your current job faster?

Can you take on a new online learning course that will show you how to navigate this new economy and world we are moving into?

Of course you can. Last year inside the academy I got one of our members to dedicate himself to learning one new skill set that would really enhance is ability to earn.

Fast forward to this year and he’s created a new source of income for himself through studying with the ability to turn it into a business, teaching others to do what he is specialising in.

My point? You have a choice daily of what to focus on. What do you value most? What would you love to do?

Now is your opportunity to do these things and go after what you want from life. The new career, self employment, new course to learn or whatever it may be for you.

Now more than ever there is opportunity to grow but you have to be looking for it. Adopt a growth mindset and step out of a fixed one or feeling a victim to circumstances. It won’t serve you and it won’t serve anyone else on this planet.

While it’s frustrating going through what we are right now, you can still change, learn, grow and prosper.

It will serve you better, the people around you better and have a positive trickle effect on the world around you.

Step up - take action!
