Two more admissions to Altnagelvin with 2.67% capacity left in system

Two more people were admitted to Altnagelvin with COVID-19 yesterday, according to the latest data published by the Department of Health.

A woman in her 40s and a man in his 70s were the latest admission on Monday.

There have been no further deaths with COVID-19 in Derry/Strabane.

Six of 15 (40%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; four (26.67%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and five (33.33%) were free.

Nine ICU patients in total were being ventilated - five were COVID-19 patients and four non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 7.72% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 83.38% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital had 2.67% capacity left in the system: 6.23% were ‘awaiting admission.’
