Woman in her 50s admitted with COVID-19 to Altnagelvin which has 9.60 per cent capacity left

At midnight on Thursday 40 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.
Five of 12 (41.67%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; five (41.67%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and two (16.67%) were free.

Hide AdSeven ICU patients in total were being ventilated - four were COVID-19 patients and three were non-COVID-19 patients.
In terms of general occupancy 9.91% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 79.57% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital had 9.60% capacity left in the system: 0.93% were ‘awaiting admission.’
There have been no further deaths.
