Derry musicians star ROE, Eilidh Patterson and Mary Dillon star in Folk Park Live

Derry singers ROE, Eilidh Patterson and Mary Dillon are starring in a new tourism experience at the Ulster American Folk Park.

They are joined by other members of Snow Water, an organisation that celebrates the north’s finest artistic talent in Folk Park Live. Snow Water has gathered talented musicians to take visitors on a journey of emigration throughmusic and song.

The new experience also features musical talents such as Neil Martin, Jack Warnock, Gemma Bradley, Niall Hanna, Maurice Leyden, Gareth Dunlop, No Oil Paintings and Cathal Hayden. It is part of Tourism NI and the Arts Council’s, ‘Embrace the Place’, an initiative to animate key tourism sites

Rosemary Lightbody, Experience Development Manager, Tourism NI, said: “Snow Water’s Folk Park Live...delivers a whole new layer of emotion to the visitor experience at the Ulster American Folk Park and a deep connection with the place and its stories of emigration.”

ROE, a.k.a. Roisin Donald, has played some of the biggest music festivals in the world, from SXSW in the US to Canada’s M For Montreal, as well as securing a spot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury in 2017. Eilidh Patterson released her new album Safe Place earlier this month - a much-anticipated sequel to Journey Maker. Dungiven’s Mary Dillon is a folk singer, known for her work with the traditional band Déanta.
