Few will ever forget bolting out of bed and running down the stairs to check what Santa left you on Christmas morning, waking up the adults in the house in the process. The smell of a newly opened tin of sweets, trying on your news clothes, going to Christmas Day services, the big dinner, selection boxes and running out to the street to show your friends what you got and check out what Santa had left for them. It was magic.
