Ballyarnett Road on the outskirts of the city has long walks scattered with parks and streams. There are benches to perch on and you might even come across a horse or a donkey! DER2126GS - 085

The Quay is the perfect spot to sit if you enjoy people watching. There is always a steady stream of people and four legged companions to keep you occupied on your break. There's plenty of spots to sit and enjoy some lunch and there are cafes and restaurants galore with outside seats. DER1720GS - 018

Prehen Woods is a beautiful spot on the outskirts of the city with stunning views of the River Foyle. Park the car and take a walk through the woods or around the football pitches and take it all in.

The Bay Road looking out to the Foyle Bridge. There are footpaths and benches with views of the Foyle and the 'pirate ship'. There are food trucks at Da Vinci's for a bite to eat too.
