A second Derry date has been announced for singer Imelda May.

Tickets for her Sunday night show sold out in record time and her two shows at the Forum will be hot on the heels of her new album release, Life Love Flesh Blood.

A spokesperson for the Forum said: “If you don’t know Imelda May, prepare to be blown away. If you are already a fan, get ready to hear her as you never have before. She has found a new groove, exploring blues, soul, gospel, folk, rock, sensitive acoustica, cinematic drama and explosive balladry on a set of the boldest, most personal and intimately autobiographical songs she has ever written. Long celebrated by peers as one of the most sensational singers of contemporary music, Imelda May has made the album of her life.”

The extremely talented Irish musician, producer and singer/songwriter Imelda May this year makes her Forum debut this May Bank Holiday weekend as she launches her new music, which many will have seen when she performed her lead track Black Tears at the Jools Holland ‘Hootenanny’ special over New Year.

Imelda May will perform at the Millennium Forum on Monday May 1. Tickets go on sale from the Box Office at 9am on Saturday March and are priced £32.50 & 35.00 (seating) and £27.50 (standing). Telephone 71 264455 or visit http://www.millenniumforum.co.uk/shows/imelda-may-2/ for bookings.
