Advent arrangements at St Eugene's Cathedral

The season of Advent begins on Sunday and in preparation for Christmas, the Cathedral will open late every Monday from 8pm to 10pm.

During this time there will be Confession and prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Confessions will also be available each Saturday during Advent from 11.30 am to 6pm, commencing December 3.

Morning Prayer of the Church will be prayed in the Cathedral each morning at 7.45 am, Monday to Friday.

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed every Tuesday from 10.30 am until 7.20 pm.

A spokesman said: “Take some time out from the pressures of getting ready for Christmas to relax, pray and meditate on the true meaning of Advent. Come to ‘Waiting In Hope: Advent Prayer Time’ at 8pm each Thursday in St Joseph’s Room in the Sacristy area.”
