Air Ambulance scrambled to scene of ‘serious’ farm incident between Derry and Strabane

The Northern Ireland Air Ambulance has been scrambled to the scene of what has been described as a “serious” incident at a farm.

The incident occurred at a property on Glenagoorland Road near Donemana.

It has been reported that the emergency services were tasked to the scene after reports of unconscious male near a farm building.

It is believed the man was attacked by an animal but this has not yet been confirmed.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said: “The NIAS received a 999 call at 13.49 on Thursday, 17 December 2020 following reports of an incident at Glenagoorland Road, Dunnamanagh [sic].

“NIAS despatched two emergency crews and one Rapid Response Paramedic to the scene.

“The charity Air Ambulance with HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) crew on board was also tasked to the incident.”

The spokesperson added: “Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no one was taken to hospital.”
