Awards season arrives for slinky Carey-Ann
After losing a whopping eight stone, Carey Ann found herself at the national finals of the competition last month - making the final eight out of 4000 eligible consultants.
But for Carey Ann - who runs two groups each Wednesday at Chapel Road - the biggest prize she could receive has been to ‘see the confidence and health’ of her members grow week on week - as their body masses shrink!

“It just felt like a natural step for me to take (to become a consultant) all that I had learned along my journey and use it to help other people facing the same struggles,
“The training I received and still receive from the Slimming World Academy in both nutrition and the psychology of slimming is absolutely second to none.
“Weight loss often feels like an impossible challenge, but knowing that behind the door of any group in the UK and Ireland there’s a Consultant who has experienced a battle with their weight – and knows how to overcome it – is extremely comforting for a lot of people.”

As a finalist in the Slimming World Slimming Consultant of the Year competition Carey Ann travelled to Derbyshire for the gala final - where she got to walk the red carpet, dress to the nines and share her story with others.
“The day itself was amazing and it was great to rub shoulders with so many other inspiring Consultants, all of whom have great stories to tell. Being shortlisted for this award is an honour, although nothing beats the satisfaction I get from helping people to lose weight and change their lives. I honestly think I have the best job in the world!” Carey Ann’s group is held every Wednesday at 5.30pm & 7.30pm at St. Columb’s Parish Hall,
