Colr. Campbell has made contact with officials after concerns were raised by residents. He stressed that Ballymagowan is one of Derry’s largest new developments.

He said: “Winter is now on us and we all know the problems encountered in communities once snow and ice appears. There is a very steep road going up into the estate and they wanted me to ensure that there was provision of stocked grit boxes there over the next few months. It would help reduce the likelihood of accidents, slips and falls and keep the roads clear for the emergency services.”
