Callum's Run/Walk for Autism to be held in April

Hosted by i.C.A.R.E. the aim of this event is to raise awareness for autism in our community, much needed funding for iCARE & Sonas Youth Club, but more importantly to allow the name of a much-loved son, friend and valued member of i.C.A.R.E. to live on. Callum Dale lost his life in a tragic accident a couple of years ago, but he has not been forgotten by the i.C.A.R.E. & Sonas Autism community. To commemorate his name they intend to make this their marquee fundraising and awareness event for their calendar year, every year. Everyone is welcome, no matter your age or ability - runners, walkers, joggers, stroller. No effort will go unappreciated. Run off is at 10am, with registration on the day from 8.30am – this is a chip-timed event. A pre-registration day will take place on Friday, 25th March at SuperValu, Buncrana from 10am to 3pm. Entry is €10 on the day for adults, €5 for children or €8 for adults and €5 for children on pre-registration day. This event is sponsored by The Firebox Grill, Fahan; Farrens Garage, Buncrana and O’Flaherty’s Bar, Buncrana. There’ll be prizes for each category on the day, plus special spot prizes. An iPad sponsored by Farren’s Garage will be the main prize for iCARE/ Sonas Membership Card holders. An after-party will be held in O’Flaherty’s that evening, with live music by ‘The Rain.’ A 49”LG TV sponsored by The Firebox Grill will be the main raffle prize.
